School Rules

The school rules set out the rights and responsibilities of pupils and parents, the rules of mutual relations, and the operation and internal procedures of the school.

Rights and responsibilities of pupils

Pupil rights

  • Protection from physical or psychological violence, neglect, and socially harmful behaviour
  • Special care in justified cases
  • To approach any member of staff regarding any educational or behavioural concerns

Pupil responsibilities

  • Complete work assigned by teachers
  • Follow the school rules, internal regulations, and school instructions on health and safety
  • Wear clothing free of hateful, vulgar, or offensive content
  • Conserve electricity, water, and heating
  • Bring required school supplies and materials
  • Not damage textbooks, supplies, or school property
  • Be in your seat with materials ready at the start of each lesson
  • Have PE kit and appropriate footwear for physical education
  • Catch up on missed work in case of absence
  • Keep valuables on your person or in a lockable locker
  • Report any injury or accident to a teacher
  • Lock your mobile phone in a locker before lessons begin

Prohibitions

  • Cheating during tests and examinations
  • Tampering with windows, electrical installations, water, or heating
  • Handling fire or hazardous substances
  • Leaving the school building without permission during lessons
  • Smoking, drinking alcohol, or using addictive substances
  • Bringing items that endanger safety to school
  • Making audio or video recordings without consent
  • Publishing photos of classmates on social media without consent
  • Wearing earphones for safety reasons

Responsibilities of parents/guardians

Familiarise yourself with the school rules and ensure they are followed
Ensure your child attends school regularly
Excuse absences within 3 calendar days from the start of the absence
Inform the school in advance of any planned absence
Check the student gradebook daily
Update the pupil record in Bakaláři when details change
Inform the school of any changes in the child's health status
Provide the pupil with an ISIC card or chip for school entry

1 — Excellent 90% - 100%
2 — Very good 75% - 89%
3 — Good 45% - 74%
4 — Satisfactory 25% - 44%
5 — Unsatisfactory 0% - 24%

Behaviour assessment

1 — Very good
2 — Satisfactory
3 — Unsatisfactory

Disciplinary measures

  • • Commendation from form teacher / headteacher
  • • Warning from form teacher
  • • Reprimand from form teacher
  • • Reprimand from headteacher

Important rules

Indoor shoes

Pupils must change into indoor shoes (not sports shoes). They must not linger in the cloakroom.

Lockers

Key deposit of 100 CZK. Report any loss to reception immediately.

Mobile phones

Must be locked in a locker for the entire time in the building.

Excusing absences

Within 3 calendar days via the electronic student gradebook.
